Weekly Roster Update 05/31/19
May 31, 2019
As will be the case every Friday of the 2019 season, we’ve updated all 30 teams’ rosters. We’ve given significant boosts to this past week’s top performers and changed the lineups to best reflect the ones being put on the field each day by MLB clubs.
Let’s take a look at the past week’s top performers!
Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
Our Canadian cover athlete has made quite the return to the big leagues! In his 6 games back Gurriel has 10 hits including 3 doubles and 4 dingers while slashing .435/.458/1.087. We’ve boosted his Contact, Power, and Speed.
Dietz has been Red hot these past two weeks. Since May 19th he’s slashing .370/.469/1.148, with 7 of his 10 hits resulting in taters. Dietz leads the Reds with 17 HRs and has done it in 89 fewer at bats than second on the team. His standout performance of this already standout week came Tuesday against the Pirates, going 3/4 with all 3 hits landing in souvenir city. We’ve boosted his Contact, Power, and Fielding.
Yarbitron is one of the openers of Tampa Bay’s new pitching strategy. Usually pitching 3 to 4 innings, he pitched 7.1 innings on the 23rd against the Indians, finishing with 4 H, 1 BB, 2 R, 4 Ks, and the Win. Against AL East rival Blue Jays, Yarbrough pitched for 3.2 innings and gave up 2 H, 1 BB, 0 R, 1 K and finished with another Win. We’ve boosted his Curve and Drop.
The Marlins are 8-2 in their last 10 and Jorge Alfaro has been a key part of that run. El Oso is slashing .378/.425/.649 with 14 H, 9 RBI, and 3 HRs. Alfaro has also been a top defensive catcher, 4th best in the league at catching runners stealing. We’ve boosted his Contact, Power, Arm, and Fielding.
Giolito has been nearly untouchable his last two starts. On the 23rd he pitched a CGSO against the AL West leading Astros, giving up 4 H, 1 B, 0 R along with 9 Ks. His next start on the 28th Giolito threw for 8 innings and gave up 3 H, 1 BB, 3 R and 10 Ks. With 7 Wins on the season, the next closest White Sox pitcher has 3. We’ve boosted his Velocity, Curve, Drop, and Stamina.
The Phillies are 6-0 in the last 6 games Neris has pitched in. In those games he pitched 7.1 innings, resulting in 3 H, 1 BB, 1 R, 10 Ks, 5 Saves, and a Win. Neris’ unreal performance has helped keep the Phillies atop the NL East. We’ve boosted his Drop and Speed Differential.
