Weekly Roster Update 08/03/18 – Trade Deadline Edition
August 03, 2018
Welcome to the R.B.I Baseball Trade Deadline Roster Update! On Fridays throughout the 2018 regular season we’ll put out a roster update for R.B.I 18 that best reflects the state of the game in Major League Baseball. This week we’re covering some fresh faces in new places and a couple of standouts of the league!
Manny Machado – LA Dodgers
Manny was traded last week from the Orioles to the Dodgers. In his two weeks with his new team he’s posted a line of .264/.391/.434 including 2 HR and 5 RBIs. Dodgers hope he can continue his slugging as they make a push to win the NL West. We’ve boosted his Power.
Eduardo Escobar – Arizona Diamondbacks
The Dodgers aren’t the only team trying to win the NL West. With Jake Lamb’s recent rotator cuff injury the D-backs traded for Eduardo Escobar. Since last week Eduardo has put up a line of .333/.424/.593 including 7 RBIs. We’ve boosted his Contact and Power.
Jonathan Schoop – Milwaukee Brewers
The former Oriole has been on fire at plate, hitting 6 HR since 7/22 including a stretch of 5 HR in 5 games. The Brewers traded for him to add some power to their lineup. We’ve boosted the Mamba’s Power.
J.A. Happ – NY Yankees
From one AL East Team to another, the Happer had a terrific debut in pinstripes. Against the Royals he finished with 6 IP, 2 K, 1 BB, 3H, and 1 R with an 1.50 ERA. Although his Ks were low, he made sure the Royals could never get anything going. The Yankees will surely rely on him to compete in the arms race that is the AL. We’ve boosted Happ’s Curve.
Khris Davis – OAK Athletics
Since last week Khrush Davis has put up an unreal stat line of .310/.389/.724 including 4 HR and 12 RBIs. He’s been a driving factor in the A’s playoff hunt. After trailing by 11 games in June, the A’s are now tied for the 2nd AL Wild Card spot. We’ve boosted Khrush’s Power and Contact.
Will Smith – SF Giants
In Smitty’s last 4 games, he has 3 Saves and a Win with 8 K, 0 BBs, 2 H, and 0.00 ERA. Over those 4 games he has a K/9 of 16.6! We’re boosting his Curve and Velocity.
